The registry of marriages feels enclosed, and neglectful of its surrounding context. The building is lacking proper spatial narration and is a hotchpotch of its users.
Hence the Design Intent is to follow the concept of Clarity, of which should be achieved with the use of scale and emphasis on a given focal point or axis order to achieve a better understanding of the spaces and the surrounding environment. So that users may be able appreciate the given context and the matrimonial process.
MODEL 1:25 / PERSPECTIVE
The Infinity logo represents endless love due to the circles being looped togther endlessly.
After a pathway was cleared through the infinity logo, there was a focal point between each void.
Curvilinear Elements then act as walls visually yet, still promoting the idea of an open concept.
- Curvilinear elements of different scale used to enhance the play of shadow to improve spatial navigation in the space.
- The use of different tones of color in the individual spaces helps separate and emphasize on these spaces visually.
- Partially Permeable “walls” to help open up the space horizonatally, promoting an open concept.
DESIGN STRATEGIES
The pathway from the entrance was designed to have a smaller void, then slowly opening up at the back, resembling the shape of the hour glass.
